A message from Mr. Nagle

Hello École Opasquia Families and Students,

As you are most likely aware, our Minister of Education, from the advice from the Chief Public Health Officer, has suspended classroom learning indefinitely for the remainder of the school year in order to keep families as safe as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic. École Opasquia School and staff want you to know that we will be supporting your child’s learning to the best of our ability. Early next week, a plan will be discussed and created at a divisional and school level, as how best to proceed with learning at home over an extended period of time. Once we receive new information or plans, it will be shared with all families of École Opasquia School. Despite the unique circumstances we are in, please try to enjoy Spring Break. Starting next week, have your child continue to work on the material in the learning packages that they brought home before Spring Break. In addition, there are a lot of great online learning resources on our school website. Teachers will begin to make contact with you again next week in order to see how your child’s learning is going. Home-school communication is going to be very important moving forward. Please ensure you are able to connect with your child’s teacher or that they are able to contact you on a regular basis. These are difficult times; however, as a school community we will get through this together.

Cam Nagle
